Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences
Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS), Belgaum was established in the year 2005. It is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is approved by the Medical Council of India. BIMS is an autonomous institute of Government of Karnataka. Promote, establish, maintain is the main objective of the Belgaum Medical College.
The college provides multiple facilities to the students and includes modern medical facilities, library, labs and many more.
- The candidates applying for UG courses should have passed 2nd PUC or 12th standard or any other equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. He / She should have scored at least 50% marks in PCB group and 40% in the case of SC / ST category.
- The candidates applying for PG courses should have passed the MBBS degree with minimum pass percentage and completed compulsory one year rotating internship.
The candidates are selected on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying exams like Karnataka CET and All India Exams. 85% of the students are admitted through KCET and 15% are admitted through All India exams.
